OurAugustmeetingwillfeaturethe"PostmemberandDepartmentoftheArmyCivilianSafetySpecialist,JeffHarris,whowillpresentaslidepresentationandvideooftherecentlyheldArmyReserveexercise"PacificWarrior2007."IncludedwillbeinformationabouttheArmy,itsequipment,andtheexecutionofthisexercise,whichexercisedbothCommandandControloperationsalongwithsoldiersontheground,trainingfordeploymenttothecurrentareasofconflict/war."

TheSuperintendentaskedustocontacthimif1)wedidnothearfromtheFUHSawardscontactwithinamonth,theonewearesupposedtoworkwithinthefall. NeitherGeorgenorIhavefromthatperson. 2)IdidreceiveacallfromtheFUHSnewspaperteacher/advisor. Sheapologized. Shestatedthatshedidn’thavegoodcontrolonwhatthestudentsdo. Thatdoesn’tsoundencouragingforthissituationorforpubliceducationingeneral. Iwillsendalettertohimupdatingthesetwoitems.
