AdjutantPaulpresentedaCertificateofAppreciationtoJackieOrzechowski,“JackiO”tothankherforhersupportofOperationLandstuhl. Inadditiontoheroriginal$1,000pledge,Jackiaddedanadditional$500inmatchingfunds. ThePostmembersrespondedandtotalfundsraisedwas$4,3758.6%ofthenationalgoalof$50,000. ServiceOfficerMikeHylandreportedonanewpilotprogramintheVAforcaregivers. Therewillbe8projectsnationwidewith$4.7millioninfunding. HealsoreportedonServiceConnectedDisabilitiesandspecialhearingsontheChulaVista400bedhospital.FormoreinformationcontactMikeatthenumberontheletterhead.

 

CommanderHarrispresentedCertificatesofAppreciationforsupportofVeteransDaytoMikeBox,NeilReichandDonBankhead. ShealsothankedallwhocamefortheceremonyonPearlHarborDay.ShethenmentionedPostMemberEdRodriquezwouldbegoingtoAfghanistan. HiswifesentthePostaframedUSflagthatwasflowninTikrit,Iraqon18June2007,AH-64DApacheLongbowAttackHelicopter,TailNumber05440,“OperationIraqiFreedom”.

KendallD.NeisessreportedthathisgranddaughterKendallE.NeisessisaStaffSgt.intheAirForcestationedintheMiddleEast. CommanderHarrisalsorecognizedKendallandSandyNeisessrecentlycelebratedtheir60thanniversary.
